Value your 𝒏𝒐𝒘. A few weeks ago I had a conversation with a client in her 40s who is in an industry where aesthetics 'matter'. She told me she was discouraged because all her competition was with women in her 20s and she's having a hard time getting the kind of growth she wants.
I hear versions of this frequently. And I think we 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 version of this frequently. But, this cycle will never end unless we 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 to end it.
Here's how to find true value in your now.
☾ 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭. Whether it's another age, body, skill- whatever. Stop it or you're never stop grasping.
☾𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬. Seriously. Make a list if you want. Read them to yourself daily. But own them and don't forget them.
☾ 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬. Market those things! Talk about them, write about them, share your gifts and talents with those around you and stop focusing on the things you're 𝗻𝗼𝘁.
☾ 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 '𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠' 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲. I"ll say it again- there's no such thing as comparisonitis when we focus on US and only US. Be the best version of you every day and stop focusing on competing with others.
Valuing your now is internal work that makes our souls 𝘃𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁! And it just so happens it's also the initial key to success in our businesses.
